IPA

Hazy IPA

BJCP 21C

Soft, opaque and juice-like, with restrained bitterness and enormous late hop aroma. Oats or wheat build the body, and the haze is a consequence of the process rather than the goal.

What goes wrong

Oxygen. This is the style least tolerant of it: a hazy IPA exposed to air turns from mango to wet cardboard in days.
